i've made some changes. big changes!!!
actually, i haven't. i've just been fiddling a little with some links. can't you tell? i didn't think so. here's the run-down:
-i added an official link to the electoral vote predictor. no big surprise there, i've been bringing that place up periodically for the past few weeks. i decided to finally make it easy for me to repeatedly and obsessively visit the site.
-on a similar note, i added bush campaign lies to my blogroll, a good bush campaign fact-checking site and yet more evidence that i am descending into the dank hole of partisanship as the election approaches. what can i say? it's true. i'm not even a democrat officially but i can't wait to dump this president of ours and end the deep embarrassment i feel for my country. either way, i will only be in this hole for the next 30 days or so, and after that either way the election goes this link and the electoral predictor link will be rendered moot.
so wallow with me in the partisan mud! it's only temporary. and besides, bush campaign lies is actually a pretty rigorous resource for tracking and checking the bullshit that comes out of the bush campaign each and every day.
-i added a new link to a friend's site. doctor pretentious is an old college friend (not that there are any other kind of college friends, these days). for now, the good doctor seems to be spending all of her time addressing the very first question i ever asked on this site. but, she claims, more will come later. start giving her hits now to get a jump on her heavy future traffic.
-at the bottom of my right side-bar, i added a link to flickr, again mostly to make it easier for me to visit the site obsessively without having to type out the url like they did in the days of the caveman. if this works, my link should load a random thumbnail from my flickr photostream every time the page loads. is that cool or what?
actually, i just stole the code from the pathetically easy steps the flickr folks have set up. besides, right now odds are the thumbnail will be one of the photos of the uzbekistan set which now constitutes the great majority of my uploaded photos. but i am slowly and steadily uploading my british columbia photos too. and then after that, i will start working on sicily and mali, assuming i am not dead by then. so as time passes the images should get more diverse.
i think that's it. i realize this isn't all that interesting, but at the very least, it should provide more link-clicking fun for the visitors to my site.
