this happens every single year. just after christmas, the people who watch the retail market declare the year's christmas sales to be below expectations. it's already happening this year, even though christmas is still 3 days away.
maybe, just maybe, retail analysts (or whatever the hell they are called) should go into the holiday season with a little lower expectations. you'd think after being disappointed year after year they would expect a little less.
