why should any of our allies ever believe us again? matthew yglesias is right, lying to our allies about such important things is a national security issue.
sometimes it seems that the president is going out of his way to get everyone pissed off at us. i don't think that's really true. a toxic mixture of blind ideology plus a bit of stupidity seems more likely. but the end result is the same.
this stuff really pisses me off. i've never felt more endangered because of the actions of my own government. thanks george!
