tierney on mars

the new york times gets a lot of grief from the blogisphere, but i just wanted to complement them for sending john tierney to mars, or at least to nunavut. i never really liked his columns when he writes about politics, but he seemed to have found his element tromping around in the permafrost with a bunch of wannabe space explorers.
