i keep going back and forth about karen hughes appointment as person-to-magically-transform-america's-image-in-the-muslim-world-without-changing-any-policies (or PMTAIMWWCAP for short). i can't decide if she's completely ineffective in improving our country's image or is actually making things worse. last week i was going to write a longish post about that, but i never got around to it. but i thought about it. that should count for something. it's the thought that counts, after all.
i thought about it again just now when i read about dorrance smith's nomination to be pentagon spokesperson. there seems to be a longish thought-provoking post in there somewhere. i was hoping by starting to write this something would take root. but, i guess not.
