i'm adding mahjoob to my links. the daily cartoon is a fun challenge for me as an arabic student. i can usually figure out basically what's going on even before i pull out the dictionary. and even when i have to look something up, it's a nice short translation exercise.
i don't know if anyone reading this is also trying to learn arabic (well, i guess i know that at least one of you is), but even if you're not, i think you can still guess what going on about most of the time. go on, give it a try. plus, it can be fun to see what the political cartoons are like in a different part of the world.
