remember earlier this week when i mentioned i was arguing at some conservative site over the meaning of recently declassified iraqi documents? of course, you do!
anyway, i guess i was just in an argumentative mood that day. but by the next day i got busier with other things and sort-of lost interest. i never bothered to check back to see what happened to the discussion. well, abu aardvark did (see the update of AA's post) and it looks like roy orbison (or whatever his name is) updated his post acknowledging that his translation was flawed and essentially conceding that my original objection (which was inspired by the AA post) was right.
i do these arguments only for highfallootin philosophical reasons, trying to advance knowledge, not trying to get notches on my belt for every opponent who concedes. it's not an issue of right or wrong, but rather the joint pursuit of truth by both right and left...
