everyone's reading them, trying to figure out whether an attack on iran is really gonna happen.
four months ago i mentioned my own leading indicator, what travelers i know were planning to do. many people think the backpacker set is a little crazy, and maybe we are. but we do have a strong aversion to war zones and tend to follow international politics rather closely. so in january i expressed some doubt about an imminent iran attack because two of my backpacking friends were planning a trip to iran later this year.
so what happened to those two? well, one went to china instead. the other one recently told me he's delaying his trip until the fall to wait and see what happens.
in other words, the tea leaves aren't looking too good right now.
