this morning i was listening to the radio again. yesterday, the buzz was all about the death of abu musab al-zarqawi. the experts on the radio differed on what it would mean for the short-term in iraq--some said the death would make no difference and others said it would cause a temporary drop in insurgent attacks as al-qaeda in iraq dealt with its successorship issues
this morning on the same station, the experts were in agreement. they all said that there would be an increase in violence in the short-term, as terrorist groups try to demonstrate that they are still active even without zarqawi. they made no mention that this completely contradicted what they broadcast just yesterday. it's like what i heard then never existed at all.
