sy hersh's latest is out. i recommend everyone read the whole thing. it's really a follow-up to his last article about iran; the one where he reported that the administration was considering using tactical nuclear weapons.
according to sy, that's off the table now. in fact, the article is a fascinating depiction of a strongly divided administration, where pentagon officials are directly at odds with the secretary of defense and vice president over what to do with iran. the article portrays an iranian situation with no good answers, only a series of bad options.
anyway, hersh is a good writer, his sources are almost always good and it's an interesting read. go read the whole thing as they say.
