so it looks like the bush administration has agreed to let israel bomb the hell out of lebanon for another week. after that, israel would agree to stop so that UN peacekeepers can move in, or whatever other terms that can be negotiated in the next week.
and i thought the bush administration was against "artificial timetables" in conflicts like these.
