22 days ago on december 12, 2006, bush acknowledged that the current strategy in iraq wasn't working and announced that he would unveil a new strategy at some point in the new year. now they're saying the announcement will come at some point next week.
since demember 12, 2006 at least 70 american soldiers have died--69 in the remaining days of december, plus 1 announced death so far for january (there are probably more. there is a 1-3 day delay for the casualty counter to record a death). it could hit 100 before bush finishes his vacation in crawford and finds the politically opportune time to tell us what it is and start putting it into effect.
