check out this interview with evan kohlmann. it's an interesting primer on the diverse set of insurgent and militia groups working in iraq now. though i disagree with kohlmann on whether the u.s. should withdraw from iraq (he says we shouldn't, i think we should) he does a good job of explaining just how big of a mess it is there today.
