whatever happened last july, the lack of accountability for contractors in iraq is a disgrace.
it's also counter productive. there are going to be bad people among a group as large as 20,000. if no one stops bad people from doing bad things, then they will doing it, even though their actions undermine the entire iraqi project. why should any iraqi ever help the americans when there are heavily armed people who can blow them away at any time with absolutely no consequences?
and how will we ever address this problem when our president is a moron who appears to be both unaware and utterly incapable of dealing with the issue:
