it seems that mitt romney's animal cruelty problem has jumped from the blogs to the media.
the weirdest thing about this story is not the bizarreness of the strap-the-family-dog-to-the-roof story, but rather that the candidate's own people were apparently telling the story to brag about mitt's ability to stay calm in a crisis. it didn't occur to the romney folks than being calm in a crisis of your own making that involves (literally) scaring the shit out of the family dog does not, generally speaking, come across as a plus.
