santorum on the big screen!

believe it or not, i'm looking forward to rick santorum's film project about a trio of iranian brothers considering whether to become terrorists. it's got tremendous camp potential. i see it as a cross between "the brothers karamazov" and william shatner's "incubus."

i do hope they get shatner to play the lead (it is a possibility; after all, shatner is not mel gibson). and, like incubus, i hope they film it entirely in esperanto. santorum's co-producer, stephen mceveety, also produced "the passion of the christ" and so he has experience working on projects filmed in a language that none of the actors actually understand.

but i still don't think that is quite enough. no, this project needs the former senator himself to make an appearance. he doesn't have to be a major character. maybe he can just give a quick soliloquy about the condition of man, or maybe man-on-dog. now that's a DVD i must have in my collection.

ADDENDUM: this is awesome! this post just got a hit from someone at eckert seamans, a law firm based in pittsburgh. hi rick! remember, i'm the one who thought of doing the film in esperanto first.
