i'm surprised that the malaysian religious authorities didn't address what direction muslims should face when they pray in orbit. because they're spinning around the earth so fast, would they have to continuously reorient themselves every time they pray? maybe they could get some high-tech mecca-oriented gyroscopic prayer rug? i once read a science fiction novel (which one has slipping my mind right now) that had a long digression about the prayer facing in space issue. don't those JAKIM guys read science fiction?
in any case, i can only assume that muslim astronauts will try to stay away from the USS swinetrek.
