i'm not a sports fan. in fact, i don't get the appeal of being a spectator at all. i mean, i like playing certain games. but that doesn't mean i would ever want to watch anyone else play. i like skiing, but why would i want to watch someone else ski? i've never understood why spectator sports are so popular.
but even if i did like to watch sports, i still wouldn't understand why this doping "scandal" gets so much attention. why is a respected former senator issuing a report on this? why it is the front page story in the new york times (and every other paper)? how many congressional hearings have there been on this?
the whole thing is completely crazy. for all i know hydro was on speed that time he beat me in settlers of catan, why don't we have congressional hearings about that?
maybe it's because no one gives a shit whether hydro's performance was artificially enhanced. it's just a game, after all. hell, even i don't care even though it was my victory that was cruelly snatched from my grasp by hydro's nefarious alleged doping. someone quick, call george mitchell!
