what exactly is a "non-ideological candidate" supposed to stand for?

..adding, what's funny about the article linked above is how bloomberg's backers seem to think that having an ideology is equivalent to "special interests." having a viewpoint isn't "special interest"--usually defined as a narrow interest group--it's just plain interest. unless you have an agenda for how you'll run the country, there's no point in running for president.
