prevailing wisdom seems to be that bill clinton's campaigning between the new hampshire and south carolina primaries hurt hillary clinton's campaign. it's not just prevailing wisdom, the clinton campaign seems to believe it too.
and yet, i remember another older prevailing wisdom. that wisdom says that al gore screwed up by distancing himself from bill clinton and not using him to campaign in 2000. by not using clinton's abilities as a "master politician", the wisdom goes, gore shot himself in the foot and thus unnecessarily handicapped his campaign in an extremely close race. anyone remember when people were complaining about that?
