the fourth amendment to the u.s. constitution:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
the bush administration's super-secret october 23, 2001 amendment to the amendment:
yeah but we can be unreasonable if we really want to so long as we call it "domestic military operations."
also i think that the 10/23/01 memo shall henceforth be known as weird al yankovic's 42nd birthday present. at least it will to me.
