isn't it funny how sites that resisted calling the sectarian violence in iraq a "civil war" are jumping behind the "civil war" label when it comes to lebanon after only a couple of days of violence?
for some reason, 3,500 nationwide deaths a month continuing for more than a year wasn't high enough to reach the level of a "real civil war" in iraq, but 34 dead in only four days of fighting is when it comes to lebanon. what ever happened to that arbitrary death threshold that determines when a civil war becomes "real"?
