clinton will beat obama by a wide margin in west virginia, but not by as wide a margin as the polls have shown. clinton's lead will still be pretty big, definitely more than 15%, which in any normal race would be considered a landslide.
because he "beat the spread" obama people will nevertheless claim victory and point out that clinton can't win the nomination. it will also trigger nervous democrats to increase pressure on clinton to drop out and to stop embarrassing the presumptive nominee with these wide-margin wins in potential swing states. the increase chattering about clinton dropping out just after her "big win" will trigger a backlash among the clinton people, who will go to kentucky telling the crowds that the party elites don't want them to have a voice.
thus, the level of madness surrounding this crazy primary will bump up yet another notch. meanwhile, i will retreat into the fetal position praying to a nonexistent god for june 4th hurry up and get here already.
