obama backs the bullshit FISA "compromise."
he says he's against the retroactive telecom immunity bits, and promises to try to get them out. but he also made it pretty clear that he's planning to support the bill even if the immunity part remains. and of course, without the threat of losing the senator's support, no one will work very hard to get them out when he asks. the "I will work with the senate" line is just political cover for his eventual vote for the bill.
