it was surprising just how little i saw of the olympics when we were traveling in israel. i expected the olympics to be in the air everywhere we went from the moment the opening ceremonies began. instead, i barely saw much sign of it. in fact, i could have easily traveled for the past week in israel without knowing the olympics were going on at all.
that's completely different from when mrs. noz and i were in toronto several years back during the winter olympics. it seemed like either curling or hockey (or both) was on a screen no matter where we went. maybe israel doesn't have a summer sport that they're nuts about like canadians are for curling and hockey.
