you can't negotiate a detente if they really are 3rd parties

this makes no sense. i thought under the post-citizens united regime, superPACs are supposed to be third party entities that don't coordinate with any campaigns, even when they essentially act as one of the campaign's hired guns. so how can the campaigns agree for the superPACs to hold their fire without coordinating with them? if the superPACs are really acting independently and aren't taking direction from the campaigns themselves, then whatever warren and brown agree to won't accomplish anything.
