with all the dreadful news coming out of homs, i went through the photos from my 2005 syria trip on the train this morning. i didn't spend any significant time in homs. for country filled with sights to see, homs was more of an industrial/transit center. if i remember correctly, all i did was change buses there.
anyway, this is the only photo i took in homs, from the homs bus station:
and i took this photo on the bus that i boarded in homs, somewhere on the road between homs and hama. i remember that cute little girl was monkeying around in the seat across the aisle so i couldn't resist taking a photo:
