it took several weeks after i left kazakhstan in 2010 before my gmail and facebook ads went back to being in english. then today for some reason, the banner ad on my gmail account is in chinese. supposedly the ads are generated by keywords in my email. but i haven't ever received any emails in chinese on my gmail account and to the best of my knowledged i haven't emailed anyone in china lately either.
is this happening to anyone else?
