while the substance of eric fehrnstrom's quote is completely unsurprising (is there anyone out there who doesn't think that romney is willing to switch his positions as soon as the winds of political opportunism shift?), it's pretty amazing that mitt's own communications director would say it live on CNN. this is the guy in charge of controlling the campaign's message. how stupid can he be to say that on the air?
