it is interesting that "Assad sidestepped extensive US sanctions against him by using a third party with a US address to make purchases of music and apps from Apple's iTunes." sidestepped sanctions, sure. but he still went through all that trouble to buy the music legally from itunes rather than downloading it illegally from a torrent site.
