i agree with joe nocera. the occupy movement pretty much blew it. unless their goal wasn't to cause any lasting change in american politics. in which case, (mostly)1 success!

i say "mostly" because they did manage to bring the 99% vs. 1% framing into the national conversation, which is something. framing can be important because it defines the turf of the debate. but i think the early supporters of occupy new york were trying to do a little more than just framing.
