the american conservative publishes an article saying what i have been saying for a while: israel doesn't have the capabilities to launch a credible attack against iranian nuclear facilities. this has been an open secret for quite some time. and yet for just as long the israeli government and media has been blustering about how unless the u.s. attacks iran by some arbitrary date, israel will do it themselves.
it's not going to happen unless the u.s. lets it happen. and while you can argue that it is in israel's interests to attack iran, there's no plausible argument that it is in american interests to do so. that is why having daylight is a good thing. different countries will sometimes have different interests. and that's true even if you think they should be bestest buddies ever.
