I don't know what I find more depressing:
(a) the fact that the CIA used torture to a far greater extent than they previously acknowledged, that it lied about the effectiveness about that torture, and hid the extent of what it did to the committees in Congress that are supposed to oversee the agency, all of which are extremely serious violations of the law, or
(b) my near absolute certainty that no one will ever be held legally accountable for these crimes.
