Frankly, I think that Star Wars Day is stupid. The "May the 4th be with you" line might be an amusing joke to bring up once over dinner (and actually, I'm not even sure if it's good enough for that). But it's not enough to sustain a recurring holiday. Not even an unofficial one.
I remain a dedicated Star Wars fan, even as I can now see that the movies are not that good (let's face it, the problem did not start with the prequels). I love them anyway and they still are part of who I am. But a lame holiday does little for the fandom. Everyone can stop posting about it on Facebook now.
