I think it is fair to say that one of the major goals of the Bush administration's Iraq policy was training the Iraqi Army. Remember, "as Iraqis stand up, we will stand down"? The endless claims about new efforts to train Iraqi soldiers, that turned out to be bullshit?

Well that didn't work out too well, did it?
