I am now convinced that Turkey will intervene in Kobani to help it fend of ISIS. Not only is Kobani right on the Turkish border and the collapse of that town would mean the end of the pocket of Syrian Kurdish resistance to the group, but the fall of Kobani would be a serious blow the Obama's airstrike only strategy. The Turks are the only ones who are positioned to act immediately to save the town. There probably is already tremendous pressure on the Turks to move their tanks in, as weird as it may be for the Turkish army to support separatist Kurdish forces. I predict they will give in and will act soon.
