So basically Scott Walker wants to end the University of Wisconsin's status as a well-respected higher educational and research institution and turn it into a vocational school. Look at these edits:

He is adding in the mission of "meet[ing] the state's workforce needs" but taking out the missions of "extend[ing] knowledge, "serv[ing] and stimulate society," and "the search for truth." I'm surprised that Walker didn't change the words "to serve and stimulate society" into "to serve the state's customers."

UPDATE: Due to the sudden negative attention, Governor Walker is backtracking and claiming the above edits to Section 1111 (that look pretty intentional to me) were just a "drafting error." I hate when that happens.
