Yesu'a, this man is stupid. Almost every noun or adjective in Arabic can start with "al" depending how it is used. It's just like how just about every noun in English can be proceeded with the word "the."
And really, are "al-Qaeda," "al-Nusra," and "al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula" the only Arabic words/phrases that Graham could think of that start with "al-"? That's it?!?!? Two of those three are really the same word! (He is counting "al-Qaeda" twice) What about "al-shabaab," "al-Jazeera," or "Allah"? Or, for that matter "alcohol," "algebra", or "alcove"?
