Another failed legacy of the Bush Administration

Why would anyone still support the military commission system for trying Guantanamo detainees? The commissions have a far worse record of successful prosecutions of terrorism charges than the regular federal court system. Any idea that the commissions might be quicker or more efficient than a criminal court is belied by a decade of experience with the commission system.

So why would anyone still think the military commissions should still exist? Other than a general contempt for the American system of justice, that is.
