And predictably, Russia's "anti-ISIS campaign," which is based on mostly bombing rebel groups that are not ISIS, is helping ISIS. Before Russia got involved, there had been various reports that Assad and ISIS were secretly cooperating. Since Russia forces are effectively acting like Assad's air force, it's not surprising that the bad guys in Putin's rhetoric about the conflict are actually one of the beneficiaries of his intervention.
