The crash was definitely caused by something that was not the airlines fault, says airline

I'm not saying that I have any idea what caused that Russian passenger plane to crash over Sinai, but this is totally absurd. Why are they quoting the airline's opinion about this when the cause is a key factor in deciding whether the crash is the airline's fault? The one thing that would completely absolve the company of responsibility would be if it was shot down by a rocket. So naturally, the airline is hinting that it was a rocket.
