Jonesing for Antifreeze

I realize it's from Politico and shouldn't be taken that seriously, but this has got to be one of the stupidest attacks on Donald Trump I have ever seen.

Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of non-stupid reasons to attack Trump. But saying "Two Corinthians" instead of "Second Corinthians" is not something that is even worth reporting on. Sure, I understand that there are evangelical types who don't like Trump and are frustrated that he seems to be gaining traction with their people despite not being one of them, So it makes sense that they would try to make an issue over it.

But for everyone else, let's be clear: all he did was use the cardinal and not the ordinal number when citing a biblical passage when the ordinal is more standard (although hardly universal). Meanwhile it was completely clear what he meant and Trump has a long history of saying things his own way. This is not a case where Trump cited the wrong passage.. I mean, he didn't invoke Matthew 21:17. Getting the right cite but saying it in a completely understandable way that just isn't worded exactly the same as most people would ordinarily say it is setting an extremely low bar for a "bungle."
