I understand that sexism is still rampant in society. Whether we like it or not, almost everyone has absorbed all sorts of assumptions and unconscious habits that disadvantage women. But I don't understand how any modern person could decide to hire two lead people at the same time for a similar job and pay the female person half as much as the male person.
I mean, seriously, how would you ever justify that to yourself, much less whoever else is involved in the project?
