Although I have encountered people who were quite passionate about the issue (mostly online, but still), I don't totally get why anyone would be that personally invested in the issue whether a Қ should be written as a Q, K, or a K with a funny squiggle on or near it. I mean, does it really matter?
Actually, a K without a squiggle would be a bad decision because the reader would not be able to distinguish between a К and a Қ. They do make different sounds. But otherwise who gives a shit? Just make up a standard and go with it.
