It occurs to me that with all the federal departments being downsized under the new Trump regime, plus whatever other public servants resign because they can't work under the current leadership, there will be a lot of experienced highly competent people who know their way around the federal bureaucracy looking for jobs in D.C. People like that aren't going to work for the Trump administration, so the obvious place for them to land would be with the various investigations of the Trump administration. They are just getting going and are probably looking for people who are just like the folks that Trump is chasing out of the office.
