I highly doubt that Congress would be able to pass a DACA fix in the next 6 months. But it is worth noting that if they really wanted to do it, Congress could fix it pretty quickly. There is an off-the-shelf solution: The DREAM Act. That law has already been drafted and went through the committee process (albeit in a prior Congress). If congresscritters really think this is an urgent issue, they could vote on that bill today.
The DREAM Act includes a path to citizenship, so I highly doubt it would ever get through Congress. And I am sure that if it did pass, the Nazis in the administration would lobby hard to get Trump to veto the bill. Still it would be the height of irony of the Trump administration's one legislative accomplishment was a law that helps undocumented immigrants.
