Does Trump have an endgame to his trade war? The President announced tariffs on Chinese goods, the Chinese retaliated, and now the President is going to slap more tariffs on the Chinese to retaliate against their retaliation. Is there any doubt that China will retaliate to these additional tariffs? Will Trump them announce even more tariffs to retaliate back?
I know Trump isn't much of a long-term thinker but I do wonder if he has given any thought at all as to how he expect this will end. Is there any overall strategy or vision for where he wants to end up?
