Has anyone ever seriously described something as a "false flag" who was not a deranged idiot?
I mean, I understand that the Reichstag fire really happened and there are those Moscow apartment bombings in 1999, so I guess shit can happen. I just think that rational non-idiotic people would only go with a "they attacked themselves for political gain" theory as a last resort.
