I'm not faulting the reporter for asking. But this exchange makes me seriously worry that Trump will refuse to leave office if he loses the 2020 election.
I can easily imagine Trump denying he really lost and ordering the government not to turn over power to the Democrat who beats him. If that happens, I expect almost all Republicans will back him on that.
