5Remember when I memorized the list of Kazakh provinces' license plate letter codes so I could tell where cars came from? What a great use of time! Much better than, say, learning the language.
Anyway, at some point in the past 9 years the KZ government revamped their license plates and now has a totally different system, with no letter codes to indicate the province. So learning that list was a great use of my time.
